How to Connect Instagram

Instagram's security blocks automated logins from cloud servers, so we use a cookie export instead — you log in normally in your own browser, then hand AutoGrow the session. Takes about 60 seconds.

1

Install the Cookie-Editor extension

Open Chrome and install this free extension. It lets you export your login cookies as JSON with one click.

2

Log into Instagram in Chrome

Go to instagram.com and sign in with your username and password as normal. No CAPTCHA headaches — this is your real browser on your home internet.

Export your cookies with Cookie-Editor

While still on instagram.com, click the Cookie-Editor icon in your Chrome toolbar (top right, looks like a cookie 🍪). Then click ExportExport as JSON. The cookies are now on your clipboard.

How to Connect TikTok

TikTok works with the built-in browser login — no extension needed. A live browser opens right in your dashboard and you log in normally.

1
Open the browser login
Go to your TikTok session → Connect → click 🚀 Open Login Browser
2
Log in normally
Type your username + password (or use QR code / phone login) in the browser window that appears
Auto-detected
AutoGrow detects your session cookie automatically and saves it. The modal closes when you're in.
💡
If TikTok shows a CAPTCHA, try switching to QR code login (scan with your phone) — it bypasses the image puzzle entirely. Look for "Use QR code" on the login screen.
🌐

Connect YouTube, Facebook, Twitter/X & Spotify

All four platforms use the same cookie method as Instagram — log in on your real browser, export with Cookie-Editor, paste into AutoGrow. The only difference is the URL you visit in step 2.

▶️
YouTube
  1. 1. Go to youtube.com and log in with your Google account
  2. 2. Click the Cookie-Editor 🍪 icon → Export → Export as JSON
  3. 3. Paste into your YouTube session's Connect modal in AutoGrow
💡 Sign into YouTube (not just Google) — make sure you see your channel avatar before exporting
📘
Facebook
  1. 1. Go to facebook.com and log in normally
  2. 2. Click the Cookie-Editor 🍪 icon → Export → Export as JSON
  3. 3. Paste into your Facebook session's Connect modal in AutoGrow
💡 Make sure "Remember me" is checked when you log in so your session lasts longer
🐦
Twitter / X
  1. 1. Go to x.com and log in with your account
  2. 2. Click the Cookie-Editor 🍪 icon → Export → Export as JSON
  3. 3. Paste into your Twitter/X session's Connect modal in AutoGrow
💡 The key cookie is auth_token — if you see it in the list, you're good
🎧
Spotify
  1. 1. Go to open.spotify.com and log in with your account
  2. 2. Click the Cookie-Editor 🍪 icon → Export → Export as JSON
  3. 3. Paste into your Spotify session's Connect modal in AutoGrow
💡 Use the web player at open.spotify.com, not the desktop app

Setting Up Auto-Scheduling

AutoGrow can run your sessions automatically on a schedule — no need to click "Run" every time. Set it once and let it grow on autopilot.

1
Open your session settings
On the dashboard, click the ⚙ Settings button on any session card. This opens the session configuration panel.
2
Enable scheduling and set your times
Toggle Auto-Schedule on, then add one or more run times. For example: 09:00 and 17:00 would run twice daily — morning and evening.
⏰ Times are in UTC. If you're in US Eastern time (ET), add 4–5 hours (e.g., 9 AM ET = 14:00 UTC in summer).
3
Save and walk away
Click Save Settings. AutoGrow will automatically run the session at your scheduled times every day. You'll see each run in your Analytics history when it completes.
📊
Recommended frequency
2–3 sessions per day is the sweet spot. Running too often can increase detection risk. Start with once a day and increase gradually.
🔋
Spread your sessions out
If you have multiple accounts, stagger their run times by 30–60 minutes so they don't all run at once (and so your activity looks more natural).
⏸️
Pausing a schedule
Toggle the Auto-Schedule switch off anytime to pause without losing your saved times. Toggle back on to resume on the same schedule.
🎯

Targets & Settings

Targets tell AutoGrow where to focus its engagement — which hashtags to browse, which accounts to interact with, which feeds to scroll. Setting the right targets is the difference between random activity and real growth.

What is a target?
A target is a short text instruction that tells AutoGrow where to go on a platform. Each platform uses a slightly different format:
#hashtag
Browse and engage with posts under that hashtag. Example: #fitness, #streetwear
@username
Engage with a specific account's followers or content. Example: @nike, @theneedledrop
:feed
Engage with your main home feed — posts from people you already follow. Great for keeping existing followers engaged.
keyword
Search-based targeting. Example: guitar lessons, lo-fi beats
Target examples by platform
📸 Instagram
#streetphotography— hashtag browse
@natgeo— engage followers
:feed— your home feed
🎵 TikTok
#smallbusiness— hashtag browse
:feed— your For You page
morning routine— keyword search
▶️ YouTube
:feed— your home feed
beat making tutorial— keyword search
@mkbhd— channel content
🐦 Twitter / X
#buildinpublic— hashtag explore
:feed— your home timeline
indie hacker— search term
💡
Tips for picking good targets
  • Be specific#handmadejewelry outperforms #jewelry (less noise, more engaged community)
  • Target your niche — engage where your ideal audience already spends time
  • Mix types — combine a hashtag, a competitor's username, and :feed for variety
  • Rotate monthly — swap in fresh targets every 3–4 weeks to reach new audiences

My Session Expired — What Do I Do?

Social platforms invalidate your session cookies when you log out, change your password, or sometimes after 30–90 days. When this happens, just reconnect.

⚠️
Signs your session expired
  • • Session card shows Expired or Disconnected
  • • Automation runs but reports 0 actions
  • • You received a "session expired" alert
🔄
How to reconnect
1. Click Reconnect on the expired session card
2. Follow the same connection steps as above for your platform
3. Your automation schedule picks up automatically once reconnected
🛡️
How to prevent it
Don't log out of the platform while AutoGrow is active. If you need to change your password, reconnect immediately after. Staying logged in on the platform keeps your AutoGrow session alive.

General FAQ

Is my password safe? Does AutoGrow store it?
No — we never see or store your password. We only store your session cookies, which are encrypted with AES-256-GCM before saving. These cookies let AutoGrow act on your behalf without knowing your login credentials. Even AutoGrow staff cannot decrypt them.
Which platforms does AutoGrow support?
AutoGrow currently supports Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Twitter/X, Facebook, and Spotify. More platforms are added regularly. Each platform gets its own session card on the dashboard.
Will my account get banned?
All automation carries some risk — this is disclosed in our Terms of Service. AutoGrow uses human-like timing and realistic action limits to minimize detection. We recommend keeping action volumes reasonable (start slow) and not running 24/7 sessions on brand-new accounts. Most users run AutoGrow without issues for months.
Why can't I just log in directly in the AutoGrow browser for Instagram?
Instagram detects that our server is a cloud data center (the same category as VPNs and bots) and immediately triggers maximum CAPTCHA difficulty — those impossible sliding puzzles that loop forever. Your home internet IP is trusted by Instagram, so logging in from your own Chrome browser has no CAPTCHA at all. The cookie export method gets around this completely.
How often do I need to reconnect?
Most platforms keep sessions active for 30–90 days as long as you don't log out. Instagram and TikTok tend to expire sessions sooner if there's unusual activity. AutoGrow will notify you (via dashboard alert and SMS if enabled) as soon as a session expires.
Can I connect multiple accounts on the same platform?
Yes — you can create multiple sessions for the same platform (e.g., two Instagram accounts). Each session is managed independently with its own schedule, cookies, and automation settings.
What does the automation actually do?
AutoGrow runs platform-specific growth actions — likes, follows, watches, and engagement interactions — using your session. Actions are spaced out with human-like delays and randomized to stay under platform radar. You can view exactly what ran in the Analytics tab after each session.
How do I set up auto-scheduling?
Open any session card → click ⚙ Settings → toggle on Auto-Schedule → add your run times → click Save. Times are in UTC. Once saved, AutoGrow runs that session automatically every day at those times — no manual clicking needed. See the full scheduling guide above for tips on frequency and timezone conversion.
What are targets and how do I choose good ones?
Targets tell AutoGrow where to focus its activity — hashtags (#fitness), accounts (@nike), your home feed (:feed), or keyword searches. The best targets are specific to your niche and where your ideal audience already hangs out. See the Targets & Settings guide above for platform-specific examples and tips.
Is it normal not to see immediate results?
Completely normal. Organic growth from engagement is gradual — most users start seeing follower and reach improvements after 7–14 days of consistent daily sessions. Algorithms reward sustained activity over spikes, so patience pays off. Check your Analytics page weekly to track actions over time. If you're not seeing any growth after 2 weeks, try adjusting your targets to be more niche-specific.
